These dear customers visited Madeira on a cruise ship, (Regal Princess) which stayed all day in the port of Funchal.

They chose to do our most popular tour, the Northwest Private Jeep tour, including Fanal forest, Cabo Girão the sky walk, Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira da Janela, lots of waterfalls and even a wine tasting. As it was their wish, we concluded the tour with a visit to the old town to see the painted doors before returning to the port of Funchal

Overall, from the feedback we had, it was a very positive tour, they saw a lot of things during the tour and the satisfaction was 100% now they intend to return to the Island to spend more time and explore other beautiful things with their families.

Leaving Funchal we start this 5 hours customized shore excursion tour. Our customers were on Sun Princess (cruise ship) and being the first time on the Island they would like to explore some Laurissilva Forest - UNESCO World Heritage Then we drove to the northeast and explored this fantastic off-road and the customers had the courage to cross this tunnel with a water channel (Levada) as many of our ancestors used in some areas as a shortcut to pass from on side of the mountain to the other and they loved it.

Garden Nasturtium - "Tropaeolum majus"

This herb grows well in Madeira up to 300 meters high and it gives this fantastic flower, which in some countries is used in salads or for medicinal purposes because it has a large amount of vitamin C.

We always give the option to do or not to do off-road

Safaris here in Madeira is not to see wild animals often associated with safaris in Africa or a full day with off-road but we do some during our tours. Safari means passing through places/roads where it is not possible with normal vehicles (rental cars), minibus or bus. In recent years we have been adapting our tours to the development of many rural areas or even to what our customers are looking for and usually is just a tour away from the crowds and a different way to explore Madeira.

On this off-road we have a large area with these Australian tree-ferns, they can reach up to 10 meters height and we can see them on the island up to an altitude of 850 meters.

Sortie 4x4 très agréable pour voir différents aspects de cette belle île de Madère (sommets pistes en forêt, petite levada, maisons typiques et de nombreux points de vue magnifiques). We do not guarantee that at the viewpoints we will have the desired view, although sometimes that fog is the most wished, for example when visiting the Fanal forest the fog makes all the difference, where it is possibly get the wanted mystical images, which we can say is Harry Potter Land.

Naszym przewodnikiem był Edgar z Always Madeira, który pochodzi z Madery więc wie o wyspie bardzo dużo. Widzieliśmy oczywiście obowiązkowe punkty jak Sky Walk, Porto Moriz, Seixal i Fanal. Ale nie była to wycieczka polegająca na przejechaniu autem i kilku szybkich przystankach na zdjęcia. Na początku wycieczki powiedzieliśmy na czym nam zależy i była ona rzeczywiście dostosowana do naszych potrzeb. Mieliśmy okazję nie tylko zrobić zdjęcia, ale przede wszystkim doświadczyć lasu Fanal, plaży Seixal i kilku innych ciekawych miejsc choćby niesamowitego punku widokowego nad chmurami. Dowiedzieliśmy się wielu ciekawych rzeczy na temat Madery. Informacje były przekazane w taki sposób że zaciekawiły również nasze córki. Widzieliśmy kwiaty bananowca, mieliśmy okazję poczuć zapach liścia eukaliptusa, poszukać kijanek w stawie w lesie Fanal 🙂... Było super 😊 Edgar, dziękujemy.

En - We were on a private trip with our daughters eleven and fifteen years old. Our guide was Edgar from Always Madeira, who comes from Madeira, he knows a lot about the island. Of course, we saw the highlights like Sky Walk, Porto Moriz, Seixal and Fanal. But it wasn't a trip consisting of a drive and a few quick photo stops. At the beginning of the trip, we said what we wanted and it was really tailored to our needs. We had the opportunity not only to take photos, but above all to experience the Fanal forest, Seixal beach and several other interesting places, including an amazing viewpoint above the clouds. We learned a lot of interesting things about Madeira. The information was presented in such a way that our daughters were also interested. Given our orography and the whole island being mountainous, especially above 800 meters high we have a lot of moisture, moisture that is retained by trees and vegetation. In this photo we can see the heather tree, which is able to retain large amounts of water even without raining, only if it is foggy and is one of the reasons why Madeira is very green and have a lot of flowers growing naturally in our mountains.
