Leaving Funchal we start this 5 hours customized shore excursion tour. Our customers were on Sun Princess (cruise ship) and being the first time on the Island they would like to explore some Laurissilva Forest - UNESCO World Heritage Then we drove to the northeast and explored this fantastic off-road and the customers had the courage to cross this tunnel with a water channel (Levada) as many of our ancestors used in some areas as a shortcut to pass from on side of the mountain to the other and they loved it.

Safaris here in Madeira is not to see wild animals often associated with safaris in Africa or a full day with off-road but we do some during our tours. Safari means passing through places/roads where it is not possible with normal vehicles (rental cars), minibus or bus. Madeira after the fires that mitigated our Madeira and destroyed 1% of our Laurissilva Forest and that it will take many years to recover (unless there is human intervation, more appropriately by the competent authorities) due the altitude and wheather conditions of those places. I believe and we Madeirans believe that it will recover its natural beauty again, we ask and demand greater care not only for our Unesco World Heritage, but whole island deserves to be respected by all and preserved for being our greatest treasure

Sortie 4x4 très agréable pour voir différents aspects de cette belle île de Madère (sommets pistes en forêt, petite levada, maisons typiques et de nombreux points de vue magnifiques). Very pleasant 4x4 tour to see different aspects of this beautiful island of Madeira (peaks, forest tracks, small levada, typical houses and many beautiful viewpoints).
