We begin the route with one of Madeira's top viewpoints, Cabo Girão Skywalk, acclaimed to be the highest sea-cliff in Europe at 580m (1902ft). We then take you through some of Madeira's most fascinating old country roads and off-roads that wind up and down the hills and villages. Another highlight is our native and magical Laurissilva forest in Fanal and its ancient trees, just before arriving in Porto Moniz, on the north-west coast. Porto Moniz is famous for its natural lava pools.
After a longer break perhaps for lunch or even a swim, we then continue our tour along the north coast, passing through other villages aforementioned in the itinerary.
