Special Requests

Special requests should be made at the time of booking and specified on the booking form. Every endeavour will be made to accommodate special requests, but we cannot guarantee that they will be, nor will AlwaysMadeira be liable if special requests are not met.

Communications

All communications will be sent to the person named on the Booking form using the email address supplied unless you specify otherwise.

Cancellation by AlwaysMadeira

A low number of participants in any public tour may result in cancellation on short notice. (Not applicable to private tours).'Low number of participants' is defined by us as too few bookings being taken to make the tour viable. We may, at our discretion, alter any tour itinerary or cancel if there is a red alert issued by the local authorities. In any case, you'll be offered an alternate date for the same tour or a full reimbursement.

Cancellation by you

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the tour will be refunded 100%. Cancellations carried out within 3 - 6 days will incur an administration fee of 10%. All cancellations must be advised by the signatory of the booking by phone or email at least 48 hours prior to any tour.

Amendments by AlwaysMadeira

Great care is taken to ensure that the descriptions and information given in our website are accurate. However, mistakes can occur and AlwaysMadeira reserves the right to advise you of any change if any mistake is found before accepting your booking. In the eventuality that AlwaysMadeira becomes unable to continue your 4x4 tour after it has commenced, suitable alternative arrangements will be made for you at no extra charge to you or, if this is not possible, you will be returned to your point of departure and given a refund for the proportion of the tour not received.

This section – Amendments by AlwaysMadeira – does not apply in the case of force majeur. Force Majeur means unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond AlwaysMadeira control, the consequences of which neither AlwaysMadeira nor its agents could reasonably be expected to avoid, including, but not limited to, war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity (actual or threatened), industrial dispute, technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment, power failure, natural disaster, fire, flood, drought, and adverse weather conditions.

Insurance

AlwaysMadeira has insurance cover as required by portuguese law in order to operate a business.

Pickup and drop-off

Costs of both pickup and drop-off are included in the given price at the time of booking. If you are staying outside the boundary between the center of Câmara de Lobos and the center of Caniço, we will apply a supplement of 15,00 € per person to cover the costs. You can arrange your own transportation and pick up/drop off somewhere in the city, that way will have no additional cost to you.

Currency & Taxes

All prices are quoted in Euros and include all taxes.

Code of Conduct

By completing the booking form, you agree to accept the decisions of the driver or guide during the tour. We reserve the right to expel any client from a tour if they act in a manner which we feel it threatens the atmosphere and safety of other clients.

Acceptance of Risk

All of the tours are hosted by a professional driver /Guide, who is trained and/or certificated in off-road driving.

Your booking is accepted on the condition that:

You are aware that the tour, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent with motor activities, has certain additional dangers and risks including, but not limited to: physical exertion for which you may not be prepared, weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change, remoteness from the normal medical services and evacuation.

You understand that the route, itineraries and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without notice due to local circumstances or events, such as sickness, mechanical breakdown, strikes, motor-sport events, climate, blocked routes and other unpredictable or unforeseen circumstances.

Children under the age of 16

Children who travel with you and are under the age of 16 are your sole responsibility for the duration of the tour. You must ensure they are accompanied and supervised at all times. Under no circumstances can your children under the age of 16 be left alone, in the care of other clients or with the driver /guide.

Child seats are compulsory by law for all children under 12 years of age who are less than 135cm (4.4 ft) tall. These can be your own or by request during the booking free of charge.
